Welcome to Cincinnati Caledonian Pipes and Drums. We are one of the oldest pipe bands in the U.S. and continue to promote and preserve the Scottish Celtic cultural arts through free group lessons in piping and drumming. To get started drumming with us, just read through the following information, and email me with any questions or comments. Thanks and good luck.    Regards, Jeff Craig
  Pipe Band Sticks
These are available for purchase at our
practice.  See one of the current snare
drummers for details on getting a  good
pair of matched sticks. Tenor and Bass
players will be given details about the
current type of sticks being used.

Drum Pad
We recommend different pads based on
   your current playing abilities..

   We provide exercises and scores
known as Massed Band Beatings. Click
below to download the music and sound
   file for the 4/4, 2/4, 3/4 & 6/8 scores.

  Drum (snare, tenor or bass)
As long as you are an active member
of the band, we will provide you with
a drum, case  and harness. It is up
to you to keep it tuned and clean.

The band provides some of the uniform
parts needed to participate. There are
some items which must be purchased
by each person. This list is available
    at our practices.

Free lessons are given in a group setting,
if enough people attend, or individually,
on Thursday nights. Private lessons are
   encouraged to advance quickly.
